Another example of a suggestion taken to extremes. Back in 2010 a friend asked me to write something sort of Steam Punk-ish to be read for an audio track he was working on. In response I wrote four character introductions in first person narration.

I then read them for use in his project and that was the end of it for quite a while. Yet these characters and the world they inhabited never entirely left my mind. Eventually it came back around and I tried to write their story.

After thirteen years and multiple attempts, here is their finished adventure. A story of treachery, beauty, and magic in a parallel past.
